Lucerna-Chem offers you the approved E3 Cortex packaging for the transport of biological samples and infectious material of ADR-class 6.2 category A (UN2814, UN2900) and category B (UN3373). Packaging solutions for shipments at ambient or at controlled temperatures are available.
Customized productions are possible.
Requirement for "triple packaging"
To comply with the regulations in force, packaging intended for the transfer of all materials of ADR-class 6.2 category A (UN2814 – infectious for humans; and UN2900 – infectious for animals) and category B (UN3373 – diagnostic specimen, potentially infectious) must comprise four components which should be used together. The full assembly is classified as approved triple packaging.
- Sealed primary containers (= direct specimen container, not supplied)
- Absorbent to absorb the entire contents of the primary receptacles
- Sealed secondary package / container that can withstand a differential pressure test of 95 kPa
- Outer packaging (isothermal if necessary) with marking
